P101 - Antique Victorian Wall Rack - SOLD 05/2021


Measures 24" tall, 19 1/2" wide, and opens 7 1/2" at top (folding front)

A beautiful Victorian oak with brass trim wall magazine / sheet music / or papers rack. Unique tall top design in excellent original condition, complete and undamaged! It has two metal wall hanging brackets on the back (can see in the pictures). The finish is very nice and the design is very attractive, stick and ball fretwork look, from the 1890's to about 1910 period. Has brass connecting pieces. Ready to hang and use. Great wall display piece. Very hard to find.

Historical information:
Made by the Ferguson Brothers Mfg. Co. in New York City in the 1890's. They identified their items as "Novelty Furniture" and held several related patents to this Faux Bentwood style including the Feb.16,1892 patent for the brass connectors. The inventor was listed as James W. Campbell of Germantown, NY.
