L107 - Corbin Trunk Lock & Keys

A vintage rare style brass and brass plated steel trunk lock, marked "Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. New Britain Conn, USA" with two original marked keys! Unused old stock. This lock is unique in that it has the protective backplate for the top and bottom, and with that it measures 6" tall and 3 3/8" wide when locked together, measured to the edges. The lock is in excellent condition with a slightly aged brass finish, perfect for antique trunks! This is well made with a brass locking mechanism and is much heavier weight than the new reproduction locks. This style lock was used on trunks of the late 1890's to mid-1900's. This lock base requires a round hole in the trunk about 1 1/2" in diameter. Old authentic American made locks look much better on antique trunks than those reproduction locks made in foreign countries, plus they will increase the value of your trunk. (It is very obvious when you put a new reproduction lock on an antique trunk. This is not a reproduction lock.) Very hard to find, only one available.

NOTE: you don't see many sold parts or locks on my website because I quickly replace them with other antique items!
