L101 - Rare Eagle Trunk Lock & Key

$69.95

A very rare antique trunk or chest lock with the key! Stamped with an Eagle with Shield logo and "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, Conn. USA". USA" . Eagle made trunk locks from about 1850 in Terryville, CT.

This lock is in excellent mint condition and works well. A very rare find!

A style used from the 1880's to early 1900's on many types of trunks. Well made and heavy duty. Cast iron with the old japanned finish and a nickel /steel hasp. Comes with 1 original Eagle barrel key. The lock weighs approx. 12 ounces unpacked.

A style that is very hard to find, especially in such great condition.

The lock measures 6 1/4" tall and 3 1/4" wide to the edges when together. The lock requires a hole 1 1/2" diameter for the bottom part. Install with trunk nails or rivets. A great collectible lock for a collection or great for an antique or new trunk. This is well made and much heavier weight than the new reproduction trunk locks.

Old authentic American made locks look much better on antique trunks than those foreign made reproduction locks, plus they will increase the value of your trunk. (It is very obvious to most people when you put a new reproduction lock on an antique trunk.) Please email with any questions you may have.

NOTE: you don't see many sold parts or locks on my website because I quickly replace them with other antique items! Check back often for updates.
