L107 - Eagle Lock, Steel and Brass, with Key - SOLD 7/2008

$35.00

This Eagle trunk lock is used but in excellent working condition and complete with the old key and two piece lock. The lock is circa 1890's - 1920's and is a style that was used on many American made trunks. The bottom piece measures about 6 1/8" by 2 1/8" and the top piece measures 3 3/4" by 2 1/2". This is a "standard" trunk lock size. The lock is marked "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, Conn. U.S.A." It is made of heavy steel with brass rivets. It has a little wear and minor surface pitting, but has been cleaned and has a satin black finish, ready to install on your trunk. By the way, Eagle Lock didn't make trunks but they were established in the 1850's and sold locks to probably every trunk maker in the country. Why use an obvious reproduction lock when you can use an original antique for just a few dollars more? After all, isn't your trunk worth it?
