M104 - Trunk Latches #3 Size

A pair of antique cast iron trunk latches of the rare #3 size, marked on the top. This size is very hard to find. Measure 4 3/4" tall by 2 1/4" wide when latched together, edge to edge. They are heavy duty, clean, complete, and work with the moving latch bail piece. Excellent original condition. See pictures for details of the condition and design. These were patented in 1882 and used on trunks to around 1915. Install with trunk nails and/or rivets. Only one pair available.
