M118 - Trunk Lid Valance Corner Clamps

A set of 4 stamped steel trunk lid valance clamps. The metal band around the edge of the lid was called the valance (not the dust band as many people say). A set of 4 will do the two front corners (upper and lower piece on each corner). Some trunks had these only on the front and some had them on all 4 corners of the lid. So I'm selling these in sets of 4 and you could buy two sets if you want them for the front and back corners. Each side is about 2 1/2" long and 2 3/8" tall. They are interchangeable, all the same size. Each piece has four holes for trunk nails or rivets. In very good condition, cleaned and repainted black, with only a few small dings due to the age and use. Used on trunks from the 1880's to the 1920's. These add extra strength to the trunk as well as a more ornate appearance.

NOTE: you don't see many sold items on my website because I quickly replace sold parts and locks with other antique items. .

Price: $28 for set of 4 pieces, includes postage in the U.S. Extra postage required for international shipping.
