M107 - Ornate Trunk Clamps (2)

A pair of ornate trunk clamps, marked "Pat. Oct. '77" (patented by Charles Taylor of Chicago in October 1877). These are in great condition and quite clean with a buffed stainless steel look. (These were originally this color because they were tinned when new to make them silver in color). Each side is 2 1/2" long by 1 3/4" wide. Sometimes you only need one or two to replace broken or missing clamps. Or these can be added to a trunk for extra d├ęcor. These were used on slat ends and also in other places directly on the trunk edges for extra strength and beauty. They are made of malleable cast iron. You are buying these 2 that are shown in the pictures.

Price: $15 includes postage in the U.S.
