M130 - Rare Antique Trunk Latches

A pair of very rare antique trunk latches or catches. In over 50 years of trunk restoration, I have never seen latches like these. What is very unusual about these is that the top pieces have special levers built in to help open them. You may know that some of these latches can be rather hard to pull open. So these have moving parts built in that you push in to open then latch. You push in on the piece that is fitted into the lifter piece and it pushes out the lower latching piece.

These look to me to be unused, new old stock, but with some paint wear. Can easily be repainted if desired. These are heavy duty thick stamped steel with nickel plated brass bails (moving parts)and lid lifter style tops made of cast iron.

5 3/4" tall by 3 1/4" wide when latched together, measured to the edges. If you need more measurements please contact me. A medium size used on many trunks. They work well and have black painted finish. Please see all pictures for condition details. Attach with trunk nails and/or rivets. One pair is available. Please email if you have any questions to Marvin@ThisOldTrunk.com

Price: $47.95 for the pair, INCLUDES shipping within the U.S. only. Email for shipping rates to other countries. Thanks for visiting ThisOldTrunk.com You won't see many items marked sold on my website because I quickly replace sold items with more antique trunk items.
