T103 - Iron Trunk Handles - SOLD 07/2020


A pair of early handmade iron trunk handles in the typical heart or kidney shape. Measure 3 3/8" wide by 2" high. Made for the early hide covered trunks of the late 1700s to mid 1800s. They are in original condition with some of the old black japanned finish and can be painted if desired. See pictures for details of the condition. They are iron and very strong and each has four holes for attaching with trunk nails. Very hard to find.
