T103 - Early Trunk Lock, Ornate Key - SOLD 02/2020

A trunk lock from the 1850's to 1870's in original working condition! The lock is heavy steel, unmarked and has black paint. The bottom lock plate measures 3 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" tall. The top hasp piece is 3 1/2" long by 1 1/4" wide to the edges. The lock is complete and a style used on early American trunks such as Jenny Lind and stagecoach trunks of the mid-1800s. The lock works very well with a fancy heart-shaped antique barrel key. A rectangular cutout is required in the trunk for the base, about 2" wide by 1 3/4" high. Very hard to find in complete condition!

Price: $68 includes postage in the U.S. only. Please email for a postage rate for international shipping.

Note: you don't see many sold items on my website because I quickly replace them with more antique trunk hardware items. Thanks for visiting.
