T129 - Rare Large Ornate Doll Wardrobe Trunk - SOLD 12/2021

A beautiful fabric covered wooden antique doll wardrobe trunk from the early 1900's. This tall doll trunk is made very much like the full-size wardrobe trunks and has a working lock with the original key! It's in excellent original condition with a very rare patterned fabric covering, similar in look to some French trunks. I have not seen another doll trunk of this pattern in over 40 years of collecting. There are three pull out drawers with brass pulls and the hanging clothes compartment with three wooden hangers, tie strap, and clothes press. (see pictures for details) This is from the early 1900's and is made of wood with brass plated metal latches, corners, and lock. The lock can also be latched closed without being lock. The leather handle on the top is even original! The interior is complete and all original including the floral paper covering and paper label of Cass Toys. There is only one small rubbed area on the back side of the trunk, and very minor signs of age. Great for display with your special dolls; to hold jewelry, etc.; or just display with your collection! A real collectible doll trunk with a nice original look. Would make a wonderful gift!
