T109 - Brass French Trunk Lock & Key

An antique solid brass trunk lock with one working barrel key! A high-quality and heavy duty lock with a fancy three-hole base. Marked "Bazar du Voyage, 3 Avenue De L'Opera, Paris, Brevete, W. Walcker". Yes, it's a rare one!

The lock itself without the top receiver is 5 1/2 " tall, 1 7/8" wide at the top and 1 3/4" wide at the base (edge to edge). The top receiver piece is 3" wide and 2" tall. The lock and receiver are solid brass. Perfect for nice antique trunks! This is well made and heavyweight. It is clean and in good working condition. It has just a few dings and scratches. This lock was made for a French trunk retailer called Bazar du Voyage which was in Paris from of the 1880's to early 1900's. Very hard to find especially in complete condition!

Old authentic antique locks look much better on antique trunks than the lightweight reproduction locks and they will increase the value of your trunk. People can spot a cheap reproduction lock easily on an antique trunk.
