T127 - Early 1900's Eau Claire Doll Trunk

Another rare and fabulous antique child's doll or toy trunk in great display condition! Some might say it's a Sample Trunk.

Size: 16” across front x 9” Deep x 10” High

Original rare mahogany wood grain finish on metal with original covered inner tray.
Construction is all wood with metal covering and outer wood slats. Leather side handles, wood slats with all original slat clamps. Original complete brass lock, no key. Lid opens and closes correctly. The inside tray is removable and has the lid with brass latches and two sections inside. There are two nice old lithographs inside of children. Also a nice maker label from the Eau Claire Trunk Company, which was in northern Wisconsin. The company made all types of trunks and travel bags. The paper lining is original with some small areas of paper loss. Overall very nice original antique condition and a great collectors' display piece! Great for use with antique fashion dolls and their clothing!

Guaranteed authentic, old and antique from about 1900 to 1920 and in excellent original condition. The wood grained metal covering is very rare on the antique trunks.
