T100 - Flat top Trunk with Tray, Circa 1900

Size: 28" wide, 20 3/4" tall, 17" deep.

A beautiful and very functional flat top trunk of the 1890 to 1910 time period, complete with its original wooden tray and the working lock. A well-built trunk with heavy-duty iron and steel braces and front latches. The lock is in great working condition with the original barrel key. The trunk has the original dark green canvas covering over the solid wood body. The canvas is in great condition so it was not removed. The thick elm wood slats have a beautiful grain and color. The side leather handles are replacements using the original metal handle caps. The bottom of the trunk is very clean and has old metal rollers. The interior was cleaned and has been lined with new cloth. The tray is dark green to match the trunk covering and has a cloth lining also. This trunk is in excellent restored condition, very useful for storage, and for use in the home in many ways such as a coffee or side table.
