T102 - Vintage Army Field Desk Trunk

An authentic vintage wooden US Army Field Desk Trunk in excellent condition. These trunks were built to be used by Army units while deployed to field locations. A very well built, heavy duty trunk which has lots of strong hardware, braces, latches, and iron side handles. It weighs about 66 pounds empty (including the interior drawers). It is complete with all the interior wooden drawers which are labeled, see pictures. The trunk also has the original markings which include "U.S." on the front and "This Side Up, Desk, Field, Headquarters" on the top. The trunk is in excellent complete condition. It does have a few minor scrapes and scratches from use. The front comes off and attaches easily to either side for the desk top. No chair included. A very unique trunk, great for storage and for use in the home or office as a desk or for display with your military collection. The newer military desk trunks are heavy plastic, but this wooden style was used from pre WWII to the Vietnam war and a few years after. I believe this one was made in the 1980's. It is very clean and ready to use. A padlock can be added to the side latch and to one interior drawer.
