L125 - Antique Eagle Trunk Lock - SOLD 08/2022

An antique Eagle trunk lock with one original barrel key. The lock is in good used working condition and it has the steel spring on the back which pushes the top hasp piece out when it's unlocked. It is marked on the top hasp piece "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville CT USA". This measures a total of 5 1/4" tall at the center and 4" wide when locked, measured edge to edge. This includes the backplate. The lock can be used with or without the backplate. This is a surface-style lock and does not require a hole in the trunk. Made of heavy stamped steel with brass rivets. This was originally brass plated and it has a worn aged finish now. It can easily be painted but some prefer the aged worn look. A very popular style lock and used by many trunk makers on all types of trunks from the 1890's to 1930's. The lock works well.
