L113 - Eastlake Eagle Trunk Lock & Key - SOLD 03/2022

$72.00

An antique Eastlake style trunk lock marked "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville CT" and "Pat. Dec. 6, 1892" with one original marked barre key. The lock and key are also marked with the matching Eagle key code. A standard size trunk lock that measures 6" tall and 3" wide at the top. The base plate is 3 1/2" wide edge to edge. The lock is a total of 6 3/4" high when locked together. The lock is in very good used condition with the aged brass and steel finish, perfect for antique trunks. See pictures for details of the condition and style. This is well made with brass rivets and is a much heavier weight than any new reproduction locks. This style lock was used on high-grade trunks of the 1890s to early 1900s. This is a surface lock so no hole is required, but you could mount it over a hole from another lock. Old authentic American made locks look much better on antique trunks than those reproduction locks made in foreign countries, and they will increase the value of your trunk. This ornate Eastlake style lock is quite hard to find and I never know when I'll get another one.

$72 includes shipping in the continental U.S. only.

NOTE: you don't see many sold parts or locks on my website because I quickly replace them with other antique items! Thanks for visiting
