L121 - Brass Eagle Trunk Lock & Key

An antique solid brass or possibly bronze trunk lock with one original barrel key! A very high-quality lock with a fancy base. The lock is marked "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville Conn.". The lock and key have matching key codes. The lock was specially hand tooled on the surface to give it a beautiful swirled appearance which appears to move in the light. See pictures for details of the condition and style. The size is 6 1/2 " tall and 2" wide at the base (edge to edge) and the top receiver piece is 3 5/8" wide and 2 3/8" tall. The lock is solid cast brass and in excellent condition, perfect for nice antique trunks! This is well made and heavy weight, weighing almost one pound by itself. This style lock was used on high-quality trunks of the 1880's to early 1900's. A beautiful lock which is very hard to find.

Old authentic American made locks look much better on antique trunks than the lightweight reproduction locks made in foreign countries, plus they will increase the value of your trunk. People can spot a cheap reproduction lock easily on an antique trunk.

Note: you won't see many items marked sold on my website because I quickly replace those with more trunk hardware items or locks. Please check back often for updates. If you don't see what you need you can email me and I will try to help you. Marvin@ThisOldTrunk.com

Price: $74 includes shipping in the U.S. Please email for shipping rates to other countries. This is a heavy lock which requires Priority Mail shipping, so $8 of the price is for postage!
