L119 - Eastlake Eagle Trunk Lock & Key

A beautiful Eastlake style trunk lock with one original barrel key! A very high-quality lock which attaches with three trunk nails or rivets at the top and base. The lock is marked "Pat. Dec 6, 1892" and "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville CT." It also has an Eagle marked and coded original key. See pictures for details. Measures 6 1/4 " tall and 3" wide at the top (edge to edge), and the base receiver piece is 3 1/2" wide and 3 1/8" tall to the edges. The lock is heavy cast iron and steel and in very good condition, perfect for antique trunks! It has a nice aged patina and brass rivets. This is well made and is heavyweight. This is a surface mounting lock that does not require any holes in the trunk. Mount with trunk nails and/or rivets. This style lock was used on high-quality trunks of the 1890's to early 1900's. I've only had two of these locks in many years of selling trunks and locks, so needless to say it's a pretty rare style.

Note: you won't see many items marked sold on my website because I quickly replace those with more trunk hardware items or locks. Please check back often for updates.
