L114 - Eagle Trunk Lock & Key

An unused old stock antique trunk lock marked "Eagle Lock Co Terryville Conn USA" near the center bottom. Made by Eagle from about 1880 to the early 1900's and used by many American trunk makers. The bottom lock plate measures 3 1/8" wide and 2 3/8" tall. The top latch piece is 2 1/2" high by 2 3/8" at the top widest points (The nail holes are 1 7/8" apart on the top part). A style used on American trunks from the 1880's to the early 1900's. The lock works well with the original flat steel key. The lock has the original black japanned finish in near mint condition. It has brass rivets and a fancy brass key escutcheon. Very hard to find complete with a key. A rectangular cutout is required in the trunk for this type lock, about 1 1/4" by 1 1/2" tall. Easily put on with trunk nails or rivets.

Note: You won't see many items marked "Sold" on my pages because I quickly replace them with more antique trunk hardware items. Check back often for updates.
