L119 - Early Trunk Hasp Lock - SOLD 08/2019

A trunk lock from the 1850's to 1870's in original working condition! The lock is heavy iron, unmarked and has black paint. The bottom lock plate measures 3" wide and 2 1/4" tall. The top hasp piece is 3 1/4" long by 7/8" wide to the edges. There is a small piece missing from the hasp top corner, but with a nail in place it won't be noticeable. The lock is complete and a style used on early American trunks such as Jenny Lind and stagecoach trunks of the mid-1800s. The lock works very well with the antique barrel key. A rectangular cutout is required in the trunk for the base, about 1 1/2" wide by 1 1/4" high. Very hard to find in complete condition!

Price: $62 includes postage in the U.S. only. Please email for a postage rate for international shipping.

Note: you don't see many sold items on my website because I quickly replace them with more antique trunk hardware items. Thanks for visiting.
