L117 - Iron & Brass Trunk Lock & Key

A trunk lock from the 1850's to 1870's in original working condition! The lock is heavy iron, unmarked and has old black paint. The bottom lock plate measures 3 1/2" wide and 2 1/8" tall. The top hasp piece is 3 1/2" long by 1 1/4" wide to the top edges. The lock has the fancy brass pieces with a small crack in the keyhole cover piece. It is complete and a style used on early American trunks such as Jenny Lind and stagecoach trunks of the mid-1800s. The lock works very well with a unique antique barrel key. A rectangular cutout is required in the trunk for the base, about 1 1/ 2" wide by 2" high. Very hard to find in complete condition!

Price: $68 includes postage in the U.S. only. Please email for a postage rate for international shipping.

Note: you don't see many sold items on my website because I quickly replace them with more antique trunk hardware items. Check back often for updates.
