L120 - Eagle Trunk Lock, Hasp & Key

A beautiful Eagle trunk lock, unused old stock! The bottom lock plate measures 3 1/4" wide and 2 3/8" tall. The top latch piece is 2 1/2" high by 2 3/8" wide at the widest point. It's a style used on many American trunks in the 1880's through the early 1900's. Marked with the maker's name, "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, Conn." on the bottom. Look closely in the pictures and you can see the marking. Eagle sold these to many trunk companies, so these are found on trunks of many types from different trunk companies. The lock works very well and has the original flat steel key It has solid brass rivets and brass key escutcheon and locking mechanism. Has the original black japanned enamel finish. Very hard to find in this condition, a rare find. A rectangular cutout required in the trunk for this type lock, about 1 1/4" by 1 1/2". Easily put on with trunk nails, rivets, or split rivets.
