L123 - Brass 1892 Eagle Trunk Lock

An antique solid brass trunk lock marked "Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, CT Pat, Dec, 6, 1892" with one original Eagle marked barrel key! Many times you only need the lock and not the receiver piece for these locks. See pictures for details, receiver piece not included. A standard size trunk lock that measures 6" tall and about 2 1/4" wide at the top and 2" wide at the base. A standard size for most trunks. The lock is in very good used condition, made of heavy solid brass, perfect for antique trunks! This is well made and is heavy weight. This style lock was used on high quality trunks of the 1890's to early 1900's. The part that fits into the receiver piece is 1 1/4" diameter. The lock has a few minor dings but is still a great looking lock with some fancy swirls engraved on the front. Nice old patina or can be buffed to a high gloss. Old authentic American made locks look much better on antique trunks than those reproduction locks made in foreign countries, plus they will increase the value of your trunk.
