L110 - Rare Brass Trunk Hasp Lock & Key

This is an all brass hasp style trunk lock with the original barrel key and movable brass keyhole cover. New Old Stock (NOS) never used! The base plate measures 3 1/2" wide and 2 5/8" high. The brass hasp is 3 1/4" long and 1 1/4" wide at the top (edge to edge). No markings on the lock.

The lock is complete, well made, and strong. The lock does require a small hole in the trunk for the base, about . 1 1/2" wide by 1 5/8" tall. The lock works well and is ALL solid brass. No corrosion, excellent unused condition! A great looking lock for many types of trunks. Very hard to find! This type lock was used for many trunks of the 1860's to 1890's.
