L126 - Early Brass Trunk Hasp Lock & Key

This is an early brass hasp style trunk lock with the original unique ornate key, and brass keyhole. The base plate measures 4" wide and 3" high. The hasp is 3 5/8" long and 2 1/4" wide at the top (edge to edge). The lock is complete and very strong. The lock is a surface lock which does NOT require a hole in the trunk. (You can also use it to cover a hole style lock) The lock works well and is all brass. No corrosion, just a few minor scratches and dings. A great looking lock for many types of trunks. Very hard to find! This type lock was used for many trunks of the 1870s to early 1900's.
