L119 - Eastlake Ornate Trunk Lock & Key

$52.00

An antique Eastlake style trunk lock with the original Eagle key, but without the smaller receiver piece. (See item L113 and the last picture provided below, which show the receiver piece that this type of lock had). Your trunk may have the receiver piece and be missing the lock itself. Please check out the pictures carefully and understand what you're buying. Email me if you have any questions. These were originally patented Dec. 6, 1892 and this one is marked with the patent date around the keyhole. This one is made by Eagle Lock Co. Terryville, CT, also marked on the lock. A standard-size trunk lock that measures 6" tall and 3" wide at the top. The lock is in very good used condition with the aged brushed steel finish, perfect for antique trunks. See pictures for details of the condition and style. This is well made with brass rivets and is a much heavier weight than any new reproduction locks. This style lock was used on high-grade trunks of the 1890s to early 1900s. This is a surface lock so no hole is required, but you could mount it over a hole from another lock. Old authentic American-made locks look much better on antique trunks than those reproduction locks made in other countries, and they will increase the value of your trunk. This ornate Eastlake-style lock is quite hard to find.

$52.00 includes shipping in the continental U.S. only. As noted above this lock does not have the receiver piece (as shown in the last picture provided).

NOTE: you don't see many sold parts or locks on my website because I quickly replace them with other antique items! email: Marvin@ThisOldTrunk.com
