L107 - Antique Handmade Trunk Lock

This is an early (probably late 1700's to early 1800's) handmade trunk or chest lock. It was probably used on an early handmade immigrant chest or trunk. The lock is large. The base plate measures 5 1/4" wide and 3 3/4" high. The hasp is 6" long and 2" wide at the top. The moving keyhole cover is 3" long. The lock has been hand shaped and there are some small decorative marks and beveled edges on the hasp and keyhole cover. The lock is heavy duty and very strong. This lock does not have a key. (NO key included). The lock requires a cutout for the lock plate about 2" wide and 1 1/2" high. The lock appears to be complete and should work if you can locate the correct barrel key.
