Ca. 1890-1910 Fashion Doll Trunk This is an exceptional and unique doll trunk in excellent condition, with it's original tray and key! The exterior is covered with an interesting green, yellow, and brown checked pattern metal which is embossed to have the feel of canvas. There are nice maple wood slats on the top, front and back with fancy slat clamps. The lock works and has the original key. One leather handle is original and one has been reproduced like the old one. This great little trunk measures 18" wide by 10 1/2" tall and 10 1/2" deep. The interior has the original blue and white flowered paper lining, including the lift out tray. There is a colorful picture in the lid of a lady by the sea shore. The paper lining has some stains on it but it is clean and does not show much with the tray in the trunk. I think the trunk lining is best left in original condition, but I will reline it in fabric if you desire for only $15 more. I have never seen another doll trunk with this colorful pattern on the metal, and very few are found in such excellent condition. Great for display with old dolls, toys or your larger trunks!
